The problem

Brand guidelines live in static PDFs nobody follows, so there is no structured, machine readable source of a brand's identity. Anything a team or an AI tool produces drifts off brand.

What I did

Brand Brain onboarding

Built the 5 step flow that captures a brand at signup, covering brand identity, voice, use cases, visuals, and success metrics. Designed each step as a modular component so steps can be reordered or dropped as the product evolves, which is exactly what happened when the visual upload step came under review.

Brand guideline pages

Rebuilt the core brand document across two design passes. Added a mathematical color wheel for building palettes, a color picker with remove support, and restructured the page into modular sections with a full typography and spacing system. Added inline "Add New" controls, plus and minus toggles for "what we are and are not," a resized image grid with an "Add New" placeholder tile, and a collapse toggle so long image galleries do not eat the page.

Chat interface

Designed the chat where users generate brand assets. Redesigned the input with soft shadows and rounded corners, restyled the browse prompt buttons and send button, and rebuilt recent conversations into an open "Your Chat History" layout. Fixed text overflow, equalized vertical rhythm across sections, and added a no scrollbar utility for a cleaner surface.

Font management

Redesigned the Add Font page and rebuilt the search flow on Edit Font, so choosing and managing brand typefaces is a real workflow rather than a form.

Design system and dark mode

Established the brand palette in globals.css, including the brand pop color used across send buttons, prompts, and the extraction progress bar. Fixed dark mode colors, condensed history panel spacing, made hover states consistent across the app, and aligned the sidebar navigation with the new chat button.
